Lots of frenchies for sale in my area are from the top of the line blood lines as they say because they show their dogs, and they are asking a wholeeee lot of money for them. Is it worth it?

hi there! frenchies can be pricey little guys, so expect to pay a bit more than you would for other purebreeds. we suggest doing a little comparison shopping no matter what (and don’t worry about buying from a reputable breeder online who’s outside your area - walter came to us from arizona). a pup from a champion bloodline does have its advantages, mainly that their health is very well-researched.
you might want to check out the breeder directory on the french bulldog club of america’s website. the site is also a great source of info on purchasing a frenchie, and have a high set of standards. good luck!!

I would also encourage you to check out the rescue orgs. There are TONS of wonderful dogs looking for homes that have been given up for reasons that DON’T make them bad pets. Frenchies CAN be pricey, and yes they ARE worth it…but consider rescue.
